Prenatal & Postnatal Fitness and Nutrition Specialist

Congratulations — you’re pregnant, or you’ve had a baby (or four babies)!

The age-old question of how to properly exercise during pregnancy is one that new moms-to-be, as well as more seasoned moms, often ask their doctors, friends and fitness professionals. And, rightfully so – the research and recommendations on safe practices to use during pregnancy often changes. One generation ago, women were told not to exercise during pregnancy at all! However, today’s moms and moms-to-be are an active bunch – some are avid exercisers, while others may be just embarking on their fitness journeys.

In either case, workouts are developed with the needs of all types of mamas in mind. As I want you to feel confident in the safety of your unborn baby while exercising, workouts have been designed specifically for pregnancy.  If pregnancy hasn’t taught you already, overall, your body is incredibly smart! As it grows a tiny human being, it adjusts your blood pressure, expands your rib cage, and increases your blood volume, among many other amazing things…all without you telling it to do so. So, listen to your body! It will tell you what’s too much and when you should take it easy.

Maybe your first was born several years ago, or maybe it was more recently. After all systems return to “normal” following pregnancy, you’ve discovered that you are left with loose skin, slack muscles and, sometimes, cellulite residing in places it’s never been before.  I will answer the most common postnatal questions and guide your body back to health!

They help their clients find the motivation and tools to get to their physical and emotional health goals.

Those goals might include:

  • Weight loss

  • Creating healthy eating habits

  • Lower stress

Unlike a nutritionist or physical therapist, who makes specific diet and exercise suggestions, a wellness coach will help you make better general choices that fit your lifestyle. Together, we will create a solution that works for YOU.

Personal Trainer
           Personal Training
Working out at a gym can be intimidating. It’s normal to have goals and be unsure how to achieve them, and it’s completely normal to lack motivation at times. A personal trainer can help you overcome your obstacles and take you to new heights on your fitness journey. Being educated while exercising is essential in maximizing effectiveness and reducing risk of injury. Accountability goes hand-in-hand with motivation. Throw the “I’ll go tomorrow; I’m too tired” excuses out the door because a personal trainer will ensure that won’t happen. Sticking to a fitness schedule gives you incentive to follow through and is the best way to achieve your goals. Contact me for my training rates.
